Outdoor learning in P2

This week we loved being back with Mr Lockhart for outdoor learning. We were looking for signs of spring and learning about the trees. We have also been learning how the moon changes shape and what the different stages are called. We ate Jaffa cakes to show each change in the moon.

P1 Burns' Supper

We had an exciting afternoon learning about Rabbie Burns. We learned that he lived in Alloway and is famous for writing poems and ballads. We learned that we celebrate Burns on the 25th of January because that was his birthday. We had some haggis, neaps and tatties and some shortbread for dessert too.

P1 Celebrate Shrove Tuesday

Today is Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Tuesday. To celebrate the last day before Lent we chopped fruit and decided on our favourite toppings for our pancakes.
