Health Week suggested activities
Monday 11th – Friday 15th May 2020
Hello everyone, it’s that time of year again where we celebrate and take part in St. Mary’s Health Week! The whole school takes part in our Health Week every year. It incorporates many aspects around being healthy, including looking after our emotional and mental health as well as our physical health and eating healthily. Health Week includes a variety of activities designed to encourage being physically active and promote wellbeing. We usually end our week with a fantastic Sports Day which is always very well supported by our parents and carers.
This year will be different, due to current circumstances. But, the staff at St. Mary’s did not want to let Health Week pass! So, we are providing a range of fun activities, games, websites and ideas for you to do at home! You can take part in all of this on your own, with siblings, or as a whole family. Information from Mrs McMaster about ‘Sports Day’ will be sent out separately. During this time, it’s essential, more than ever, to do all we can to be healthy in our body and mind! Health and Wellbeing is firmly embedded in daily school life at St. Mary’s and having happy, healthy pupils is of paramount importance to all staff.
The links listed below are from YouTube and other websites and you can explore a wider choice from all of the suggestions. Please take photographs of you and your families taking part in any Health Week related activities and send into:
