How fast do the weeks go in P2!

It’s Friday so it means free writing – what have you done this week that you would like to write about? Remember this can be anything, maybe you have helped around the house or went a nice walk or maybe you would like to write about your favourite dinner……there are no limits!

Finishing on top spots on the leader boards this week are:

SumDog Grammar 1stAine          2ndMikey       3rd Skye

We have to get another wet weekend but that’s no excuse to stay indoors!

Why not turn the rain into a fun experiment? You could make a simple rain gauge using a leftover plastic bottle. You will need some adult help for this as it can be tricky to cut the bottle. I wonder how much rain you could collect in a day/weekend/week? Can you make a estimate then get a measurement?

Or how about getting creative and creating a water wall?  Build up  that focus and concentration!

-Problem solving
– Fine motor skills
– Science skills
– Sensory play
– Maths skills- measurements, full, half, more,
volume etc
– Language development
– FUN!

Below are some other fun ideas for getting outdoors and enjoying the rain. If you manage to do any of these please send me a photo, or two to :wlstmaryspol-ps@westlothian.org.uk

I hope you have a great weekend Primary 2.
