Good morning everyone, we hope you all had a lovely weekend!
As you all know the Primary 7 children will be moving on to Secondary School in August. As a school, we wanted to do something special to show how much we will miss them at St. Mary’s and to wish them all the best for their futures.
We usually end the final day of term with a ‘clapping send off from pupils and staff’, but due to circumstances this year, we are unable to do this. So, we want to create a gallery of pictures and messages for Primary 7 on the school fence, outside the school. The Primary 7 children are having an assembly on the final week of term, so we hoped to have all pictures returned to school by then. The children can take time to look at the gallery of pictures and messages as they leave school for the final time.
Mrs Kellock is printing off templates that you may wish to use, and they will be available for collection during lunch time from the school dining hall – they will be available every day this week between 12pm and 1.30pm. Alternatively, you can use your own paper to write your message of support. We would encourage all Primary 1 children to create their picture for their Primary 7 buddy and Primary 2 and Primary 3 children can create a general “Good Luck” message / picture.
Please return completed pictures to a member of staff in the school dining hall between 12.00pm and 1.30pm by Friday 19th June. A member of staff will laminate them and add ribbons, before being displayed on the fence.
We really appreciate your support with this and we know it will show our wonderful Primary 7’s that we are thinking of them and wishing them every success as they move on to Secondary school.
