boys and girls!
A little post this morning to say I have loved being your ‘Wednesday Teacher’ this year, and I hope you all have a super summer holiday. I’m going to share some of the happy memories I have of working with you this year and I would love if you did the same. If you can, send an email to the school sharing some of your ‘favourite bits’ – here are mine:
- I’ve loved watching your handwriting improve. You have all tried really hard to use linked script, and it can be quite tricky but you persevered; well done.
- I enjoyed doing our weekly check in’s where I found out your feelings and emotions.
- I liked starting our Wednesday mornings with some singing and dancing. My favourite song is “That’s what a friend is for”.
- I liked reading to you, particularly chapters from your class novels.
- I always enjoyed watching you read in class. Some of you read on your own, or with a partner. When you chose to read a non-fiction book, you were always so keen to share what you learned.
- I enjoyed the work we covered on Greyfriars Bobby. It was great to learn more about this lovely little loyal dog.
- I was so proud of the children who made their First Reconciliation in March, and you were well supported by the children in class.
- I particularly like the work we did for “International Day of Peace” and “Kindness”. You produced some beautiful pieces of work for both of these topics.
- I’ve enjoyed watching you continue to grow and learn together, become more responsible and develop friendships.
Here is a lovely song about friendship – join in if you can:
I wish you every success as you move on to Primary 4 at the start of the new session. You will be amazing!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, and I hope you all have a super summer holiday! Stay safe and continue to look after each other.
