It’s been another busy and hard working week here in Primary 4!

We are continuing to work on non-fiction books and sites. This week we learned about using labels and captions.

We also continued our work on King Max the Last in Word Boost. We listen to the chapter and put our hands on our heads when we hear one of this week’s words. We act out the words and we do other activities, such as Hanging Sentences, to learn how to use them. This week’s words were specimen, juveniles, summoned, apparent, maddening and softly.

In Maths, we learned how to round numbers to the nearest 100. Some of us played an exciting game to help us to learn. We started our new Maths Journals too! We have thought about our learning and written down our thoughts.

We used the Maths Journals to explain about our work in Area too. We even included some information about how to measure area in square centimetres.

In RE, we learned about the first Passover. We made Seder plates to show what people eat when they celebrate Passover.

In Writing, we continued a story. You had to use the same characters and setting so that it seemed like you were actually being the author!

We were writing in French this week!

Our topic on The Romans is very interesting. We learned about Romulus and Remus in Drama when we acted out the story. It’s fun to do Drama outside!

Next week, we will be starting to revise adding and we will be doing some more work on our Class Charter. We will have PE on Monday and Wednesday.
