Rannoch Class had a busy week, learning more about the addition of numbers, using practical materials (Numicon and Dienes) with some pupils working on numbers to 10, some to 20 and others working with numbers to 100. Their working week on Maths ended with some Maths games to support and re-enforce their learning.

The boys finished their ‘germs’ (hand washing) Art & Craft and also went on to finish some pastel drawings of the ‘Coronavirus’ after learning 3 main facts about ‘how to keep safe’ from the virus.

Rannoch boys were in the garden again this week, getting all togged up for working outside. They helped place a post up in the garden, and secure it with stones ready for concrete. They also helped with more weeding and preparation – it is slowly getting there!

Rannoch Class really enjoyed their P.E. outside with Mrs Smith, having some fun playing playground games.

It was great to have our first Whole School Assembly with a difference! The whole school were within individual ‘class bubbles’ in their own classrooms! Rannoch Class watched Mrs Kellock & Miss Pritchard on the large Smartboard screen in our own classroom, where the assembly was beamed to us virtually! It was fab to see everyone in this way! We were learning about being ‘resilient’ – work we did last year before lockdown, but work we still need to learn more about, especially during this time when things aren’t easy for anyone. We also welcomed our new P1s into our school community.
