Rannoch Class had a lovely end to the week, where they celebrated ‘Halloween’ in their own class bubble. What fun they had. There were some great costumes… including the class adults! They played a Halloween themed maths game, and made a paper Pumpkin each, which were tricky and required some skillful cutting, but effective when placed together! Earlier in the week they made some Art & Craft spiders, effectively using paper fasteners to make the legs move and worked on some other mental maths Halloween themed activities which re-enforced some mental maths strategies recently learned.
Some time was spent in the school garden again this week. The boys were busy transporting, raking and turning the soil. They also did some hard work planting some new trees out at the front of the school. We look forward to seeing them grow in the coming months and years! Some great team work went on – well done Rannoch Class, doing a great job!
The boys made a start on their ‘Leader in Me’ tree for their class wall. This is work in progress. Rannoch Class have only made a very small start to doing some work on the 7 concepts that they will carry though their lives at different times.

Rannoch Class really miss the weekly cooking activities because of the Covid -19 restrictions we have at the moment in school. They watched a short video on ‘Newsround’ of a young boy baking a Halloween Cake. This reminded the boys very much of when they did baking and mentioned how much they missed it! Rannoch Class are looking forward to being able to bake and make things when all this is over, and things being able to return to being a bit more near normal. They do understand however why they cannot do this at the moment.
