In Primary 3 this week we have spent time thinking about what “remembrance means”.
We enjoyed participating in the whole school Remembrance Day assembly lead by Primary 6 . We had good discussions around why we have Remembrance day on the 11th of November, thinking about all those in the armed forced who have died in wars. We also took a moment to remember people who are special to us.
We listened to some poems and prayers, we were all very respectful.
In order to remember this day we have made a class display of Poppies. We used paper plates, paint, glue and cupcake cases to make and put together our Poppies. We are all very proud of the end results.

We were very lucky this week to get to speak to a book author, Vivian French. Over the past few weeks we have enjoyed lots of her books in class and had built up some great questions to ask. Some of us even made a book at home and got to show her! She gave us some great tips on writing a story. Next week is Book Week and we are hoping to use some of these tips!
We are really enjoying our topic, Biological systems and have had fun putting body parts into the correct places.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
