This week we were extremely lucky to have an online workshop with the amazing children’s author, Vivian French.
We have read lots of her books and some of us have carried out class projects related to her texts.
Vivian read some of her stories and talked about the illustrations in her books. She gave us some really useful tips to help us to write our own stories. We had the opportunity to ask her some interesting questions. We found out that she found reading and writing difficult at school but she was very good at talking and telling stories. We were very interested to find out that she took inspiration from her own life for her stories. One of her favourite books that she has written is, The Skull of Robes. Unbelievably, she has written 300 books!
It was an amazing experience for us to meet Vivian and to learn so much from her.
