CATHOLIC EDUCATION WEEK 2020

On Monday 16th November we will celebrate Catholic Education Week which takes place each year starting on the Feast of St Margaret of Scotland (16th November).

The Catholic Church in Scotland encourages schools and parishes to work together in order to celebrate the successes of Catholic education particularly during one week each year.  The purpose of Catholic Education Week is to highlight the significance of education, not only for young people but for society as a whole.  In school, each class will engage in different types of learning experiences and activities throughout this coming week.  The theme for this year is: “Jesus Christ – the Way, the Truth and the Life”

We hear this important message in John’s Gospel:

Jesus the Way to the Father

 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
