Primary 4 have had another super week!
We have been learning about pronouns! We can identify them now. We made an excellent poster to show our learning.
In Maths, we have been continue to subtract. We have been concentrating on subtracting when you don’t have enough tens. We wrote a letter to Mrs Singer’s friend, Miss Walker, giving her helpful hints about teaching subtraction. On Thursday, we completed an excellent Subtraction Challenge!
We have also continued our work on Grid References. This will come in very useful when we learn to read maps.
In RE, we have been talking about Advent. We are going to change the green cloth on the Holy Table to a purple cloth for Advent. We will look out for the priest wearing purple vestments when we watch Mass online this weekend. We have also been thinking about all the Advent Activities that we will do – decorating our houses, putting the crib out, lighting the Advent Wreath and other wonderful things. We won’t be lighting the wreath that we have made though as it is made out of paper! We will use tissue paper instead of real fire!
We are making a display about describing the weather in French. Every morning, we say the date in French and we describe the weather.
When we were outside, we learned all about the life cycle of a worm!
We tried to make a lemon battery in Science but it wouldn’t light the bulbĀ nor make the motor move! Never mind, we’ll try again! At least our Electrical Circuit Drama went well! Now we know what it feels like to be a component!
Don’t forget to complete the Friday 5 on Teams, Primary 4!
