French Phrase of the Fortnight - Late April

Our first French Phrase of the Fortnight this term is:

Je voudrais de la salade, s’il vous plaît.

It means I would like some lettuce, please.

You and I know that frogs don’t usually eat lettuce but Pierre knows that vegetables are very good for humans!

Why not use this phrase when someone asks you what you would like to eat?
