Health week Part 2

It has been another fun filled week of learning in P3.

We competed in Sports Day representing out house groups. We all tried very hard and everyone should be super proud of their efforts. It was made much better with an ice cream at the end!

The daily mile has continued and it is clear that after only two weeks we are getting better at it! There is lots more running than walking now.

At lunchtime we had a great session in the Trim Trail area and we are looking forward to spending more time using this area.

During outdoor learning this week we were looking at fire safety. How to keep ourselves safe as well as keeping our environment safe. This was also a great science lesson as we learned what a fire needs to grow. To top it off we toasted marshmallows over the open fire!

This has been a very different year for us all and we took some time to acknowledge that and think about how it has made us feel. We like to talk about or emotions and use Emotion Works to help us. Our focus this week was coping mechanisms, what can we do when we are feeling different ways. We came up with some great ideas to make a coping mechanism wheel.

Thursday of this week was all about Maths and Numeracy and we had great discussions about why we need to use numbers and how we might need to use them when we grow up and leave school. We had some great examples of what we would like to do when we are older ranging from a YouTuber to a RAF pilot and we agreed that they all need some form of number work to help them in their job.
