Primary 4 have had another busy week!

We decided to have a holiday on Monday but we worked hard from Tuesday till Friday to make up for it!

We learned about using Speech Marks so that we can punctuate our stories correctly.

We started to make our own islands in Art and we’ll be working on these again.

We worked on division in Maths, including Number Families.  We played some Loop Games and we divided the class up!

On Wednesday, we practised our Spanish for opening our Spanish cafes! In the afternoon, we learned how to play rounders!

We are hoping that the Olympics will not be cancelled because we’re learning all about the Scottish athletes in Team GB. We are researching facts about them and then making power points all about them. The athletes that we are working on are Ross Murdoch, Laura Muir, Callum and Derek Hawkins, Steph Twell, Cassie Wild, Kathleen Dawson, Tom Bosworth, Aimee Willmott and Jemma Reekie. Look out for them in Tokyo!

We have also learned more about writing Information Reports. You need to start with a General Statement then write a Description then finish with an Evaluation. We wrote about lots of things including dinosaurs, foxes, superheroes, Friends (the show), koalas, penguins, water and fossils. Our reports were excellent! We printed them out after adding a picture or two!

Next week, we’ll be learning more about speech marks, division and lots more things!
