Primary 1 update
We have had a busy week in P.1.
We continue to learn how to read and write new sounds. This week we have learned the letters n, p and g. We are enjoying using the writing rhymes to help us form the letters correctly. We are starting to blend these sounds together to read and write words, we are amazing!

In maths this week we investigated pattern. We looked at patterns in the environment and patterns with colour, shapes and numbers. We completed patterns and then used lots of different materials to create our own. We made patterns using cubes, little people, paint, counters and numbers.

In RE we have been learning our daily prayers and that each prayer begins with the sign of the cross. As part of our IDL topic we have been looking at our family. We know that our families look after us, care for us and love us. We know that Jesus was loved by his family, Mary and Joseph and that they are the Holy Family.
Our play this week was planned through different parts of the curriculum, IDL, literacy, maths, art, health and wellbeing. We had fun sewing, looking after the babies through cleaning and feeding, making p for pizza.
