This week we have been working hard on lots of new learning.
In Maths, we have been learnig about rounding numbers to estimate a calculation. We learned that ‘Estimate’ means doing a quick rough calculation. In real life we might estimate the cost of something, the length of something or the time something might take. We have been learning to estimate numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000.
In PE, we have been learning to play handball. We have started playing full games and Mrs McMaster has said that we are getting good at organising ourselves.
Mrs Ferguson set us a zero-waste challenge. We had to create foliage from a sheet of paper but we could not waste a single scrap. We are pleased with the display we have started.
We have been talking about Friendship in R.E. We have made a ‘Friend Ship’ and made sure we are all aboard.
