This week Primary 7 have been learning more about our new science topic – energy. Through the Young Stem Leaders Programme, we joined a live Q&A with four energy industry professionals including an engineer, wind resource manager and a coding expert. We had lots of our questions answered, including how wind turbines work, how wind is created, why coding is important and how wind creates electricity. It was interesting to think about how our science and maths lessons could lead to these types of jobs in the future. We have now begun to investigate the nine main types of energy.
On Frightday we put on our scariest costumes for Halloween! After a spooky catwalk costume parade we played some games and voted for the best costume and best carved pumpkin. Then we made a pumpkin craft, watched Muppets Haunted Mansion and ate some tasty snacks! Super fun times in Primary 7!
