This week in Primary 3 we have had a focus on Scotland. We have been looking at the story of Greyfriars Bobby. Using technology we researched his life and have made information leaflets on the story of his life and why he became so famous.
We have also been looking at Robert Burns. We have researched his life and some of his poems. We have worked hard to learning Auld Lang Syne. We will be letting everyone know what we have found out at our class assembly on Monday.
In maths we have moved on to money. This week our focus was on recognising coins and notes values and adding them together. We will have lots of opportunity to use coins in class. Some of us earned certificates through Prodigy for answering questions and mastering new skills. Prodigy can be played at home and in class.
We have also been working on a wall poster based on the Leader in me 7 habits, our class has habit 3, put first things first. We had lots of discussions about what this means and have worked together to make a lovely display that will go in the dining hall for everyone to see.
During choosing time some children taught others how to make bracelets out of pipe cleaners and beads – this was a great example them leading their learning and sharing skills with others.
