This week we celebrated Rabbie Burns and all things Scottish.  We learned that Robert Burns was born in 1759 and lived in Alloway. He is famous all over the world for his poems and songs.  We celebrate Burns’ Night on the 25th of January.

We had a little treat of Scottish Shortbread, Tablet and Fudge.

We listened to some Scottish music on the Bagpipes and the famous Robert Burns song, Auld Lang Syne. We also had a go at some Scottish dancing.

We studied different tartans and tried to make our own by weaving with paper. We had a very fun afternoon.
