Primary 3
This week in Primary 3 our maths has been all about shapes! We have been looking at naming polygons, counting sides, counting vertices and making patterns with shapes. To stretch us even further we have been using grids to move shapes left or right, up and down. Some of us found this challenging and we had to use our perseverance.

As our new science topic is plants and animals we have planted seeds to allow us to watch them grow. We had to think about what plants need to survive and grow fully. As this is science we have kept two control seeds, one will get no sunlight and one will get no water so we can see if water and sun are as important as putting the seeds in soil.

In class we use technology to support and enhance our learning, most of this requires us to be “online”. We are all very competent and accessing the internet in Primary 3 but this week we have started our internet safety journey. To start with we have looked at what information we should never share online. We had lots of discussions around this then headed into Interland to consolidate our learning. We have started on Mindful Mountain in Interland.

As always we are continuously practicing the Leader in Me habits. This week we are looking at being pro active.
