In Primary 4 this week we have been very busy with lots of active learning.

During art we made sun catcher sugar skulls.  We traced a outline of a sugar skull and filled it with different coloured tissue paper. Thinking about what colours we identify with Halloween and what colours we like we chose colours we like. We then used the laminator to seal it in place.

In maths we have finished off adding and subtracting with hundreds, tens and one and have moved on to working on the 3 and 4 times table. We are all doing really well and hope you enjoy looking at our work in our sharing our learning jotters.

In science we made a Witches Brew each. We did this with edible materials. We had to read the instructions and work with a partner to be successful. Lots of skills were needed and we had to use our learner in me skills to begin with the end in mind. We will use this to start our next writing activity.

Did you get to try any?

On Thursday we turned oranges into Jack-o-lanterns . Everyone really enjoyed this activity. We had to be very careful, keeping in mind our school value of Safety as we were working with sharp tools. Most of us enjoyed the activity as we got to taste the orange as well.

On Friday we had a fun filled day, we all looked fantastic in our costumes! Well done everyone

We had a great halloween disco with P5,6 and 7, we danced, played games and had a party snack. In class we made chocolate covered apples   and some marshmallows dipped in the chocolate fountain.
