In Primary 4 this week we have been measuring mad!
We are working on being able to measure in millimetres, centimetres and meters. We have measured our heights, built towers to measure and lots more. After we took lots of measurements we converted them from meters to centimetres or from centimetres to meters, millimetres to centimetres and centimetres to millimetres. We quickly worked out the 1cm = 10 mm and 1m = 100cm.
In reading we have all got new reading books and should be trying to read as often as possible, to get better at reading the best thing to do is read, read, read!
We had a very cold but fun afternoon at outdoor learning on Tuesday, where we did what we do best, climb trees and have fun.
As it is Robert Burns birthday next week we have been learning lots of facts about him. We have also looked at some of his poems and songs. It has been fun trying to work out the meanings of some of the Scots words that were used.
We have been celebrating achievements in class, this can be anything from a sporting achievement, trying something new, building something, learning something new etc. It does not need to be about competitions and medals, though they are welcome as well.
This week we have had a class member selected to perform at the local theatre in a performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We are all so proud of their achievement.
