Primary 1

In  Primary one this week we have been learning all about firework safety. We used bonfire night to inspire our writing for the week, we talked lots about what fireworks look, sound and smell like. After our discussions we drew pictures of fireworks and wrote a sentence.

We also used fireworks to inspire our art work this week, we created beautiful fireworks in the night sky art using paint and forks!

During RE we learned all about All Saints and All Souls’ Day. We found it very interesting learning about different saints and how God calls us all to be good.

Everyone in class voted to change a play area to a pizza shop! We made shop posters and decided how much we would charge people for our pizzas. We also had to make pizza dough and the toppings for the pizzas. We have had lots of fun making and selling pizzas this week.

For outdoor learning this week we enjoyed some time in the outdoor classroom, we built towers and bridges together as well as having time to explore other toys.

On Friday we celebrated mass together with the whole school and members of the parish. We were all very respectful during the mass.
