P5/4's busy week

P5/4  have been  very busy this week! We have come to the end of our mini topic on myths and legends and this week found out about Narcissus, the Knights of the Round Table  and King Midas. To end the topic we researched our own myth of interest and wrote about that. Next week’ we will start our new topic; Romans.
In numeracy we have moved onto the four operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
In guided reading we are doing extremely well on the core principles of summarising, predicting, questioning and clarifying.
Also this week we have been learning to describe ourselves in French and in Science we are moving onto ecosystems, and will be getting pet snails in class.
Finally we have been enjoying some mystery box challenges to hone our sharing and taking turns and listening/talking skills.
Next week we will also start Show and Tell Thursdays as well as our usual Techy Thursday afternoons where we hone our laptop skills.
