Another week in primary 6

We have had another busy week in primary 6 this week. We have been working hard across the curriculum and have finished our work on subtraction in numeracy this week.

As we finished off our solar system topic, we looked at the difference between primary and secondary sources, what source type is more useful, and researched our own sources to provide us with information about the Apollo 11 moon landing. This work culminated in us creating our own newspaper front page imagining that we were journalists reporting on the story in real time.

As October is the month of the rosary, we learned about the miracle of the sun and the story of Our Lady of Fatima. It was good to learn a bit more about our school’s patron saint.

We finished the week with an online quiz with questions about everything we have learned across the curriculum this week and the standard was very high.

It is time for a well earned October break for everyone. Have a good holiday!
