P7 - MINI OLYMPIC WINNERS!

On Thursday, Primary 7 went to West Calder High School to take part in a Mini Olympics event which was organised by S5 pupils.  We are so proud to share that our Primary 7 stars won the most amount of medals and were awarded with the cup!

Primary 7 are going to tell you more…

Emma-Leigh – It was a fun morning and there were a lot of people there.  I took part in the 100m and the 400m races.  We all got to take part in two events.

Mouhammed – I did the long jump and I got 1st place.  We did most of the events outside.

Connor – I came in 2nd place in the 100m sprint.

Ethan R – I did the shot put and I threw it quite far.

David – I got 2nd place in the shot put.

Amelia – The relay race was probably the best one and I will take a lot of memories from that one as everyone was so happy that we won!  We did great team work and everyone in our class was chanting and supporting us.  It was good to see pupils who used to come to St Mary’s.

Alexsander – I enjoyed it and it was good going to the High School.  It was good at the end when we got the cup and everyone was so happy.

Cai – I loved it and my favourite bit was the relay race.  We were the fastest by far and we won.  Everyone was cheering.

Zoe – I took part in the relay race, which we won, and I also won the long jump.  I was a bit nervous but I tried my best.

Charlie – I did the relay race with Zoe, Amelia and Cai and we were so fast at running and you could tell from the start we were going to win as we were way ahead!

Evie – It was a brilliant day and we won the cup.  It was great getting a medal too.  St Mary’s got loads of medals!
