Hello from Primary 2!
This week in numeracy, we explored lots of different ways to make and add numbers to 20. We used practical materials, number lines and mental maths strategies to help us solve problems and share our thinking with our classmates.
In literacy, we continued with our Read Write Inc. lessons and worked hard on our reading and spelling. During writing, we were introduced to our new genre, Information Reports. We began learning about the features of information reports and looked at examples to identify headings, facts, pictures and labels. We are excited to learn more about this genre over the coming weeks.
We also enjoyed taking part in PE, where we developed our fitness and teamwork skills through a range of fun activities.
At Cooking Club, we had a fantastic time preparing and making pizza bagels while learning important cooking and food preparation skills. Next week it is going to be a sweet treat.
Art with Mrs. Ferguson we looked at the owl and created some firework pictures.
In Religion, we were learning about All Saints and All Souls and how we remember them in the month of November. We created remembrance wreaths for our loved ones.
Friday morning, we attended mass at school, joined in with the hymns and responses as best we could.
Have a good weekend!
