We had a fantastic morning at our first Big Breakfast and Sharing Our Learning event of this session. What a fantastic turn out from our families! Thank you to everyone who came along, we loved showing you the fantastic things that we have been learning in St. Mary's.
P6R have had a great week taking part in different activities relating to Maths during Scottish Numeracy Week. We have created art using deans blocks to show 3-digit numbers. We also challenge each other to solve various maths problems.
What a brilliant week we had to celebrate all things Maths and STEM on this Scottish Numeracy Week. Linked to our topic, Night and day, our pupils wanted to learn all about torches. We decided to build our own torches from scratch using Circuit materials.
This week in gardening club we were working on the new sensory garden that everyone in the school is helping to create. The first stage is digging out the soil. We had to safely use the shovels to dig out the turf and put it in the wheel barrow.
We had lots of fun with numbers this week, lots of games and counting. We even managed to use the vegetables we collected from the garden to make a chart and practice counting.
On Friday we had the chance to come to breakfast club with our adults. We got to choose lots of tasty things and sit with our family and friends. Primary 1 have had a super learning week. We spent some time in the garden harvesting some vegetables and turnip. Finding our vegetable treasure was very exciting.
